Nonprofit: SHenPen NEpal
Meet Dinesh Tamang, a community leader in Dohla, Nepal. Dinesh returned to his village five days after the earthquake struck. It was covered in landslides with no hope of rebuilding. He worked with the nonprofit Shenpen to move 55 families from Lapa to some donated land in Dohla.
This community has been working tirelessly to build 55 new houses on their land. They have faced natural disaster, fuel shortage, and now upcoming monsoon season. This is a truly collaborative mission where donors, nonprofits, technicians, and the community have come together with the goals of building seismically sound homes.
